Specs & performance
Manufacturer + tested figures, curated. Production years are the model-generation span. Variants are split at spec breakpoints; power-to-weight is computed. ¼-mile, top speed, 60–0 braking and fuel economy are published/tested approximate values.
Cost to Keep
Est. annual cost to keep the car road-worthy — a hand-researched figure built from four components: (1) routine maintenance (oil changes at manufacturer-specified intervals, filters, brake fluid, spark plugs, belts); (2) consumables (tires prorated over their real-world lifespan at current market prices, brake pads & rotors at typical replacement intervals for that platform); (3) amortized major services (engine-out belt/clutch services, supercharger rebuilds, transmission fluid, differential service — spread over the interval at which they occur); and (4) known failure items (platform-specific issues with documented failure rates and repair costs, e.g. M177 rear main seal, M156 head bolts, C5 harmonic balancer, Viper timing chain — each amortized by failure probability × cost). Figures assume ~10,000 miles/year of street driving. Excludes insurance, fuel, depreciation, and storage. Values are realistic averages — a garage queen costs less, a track car costs more. A rough guide, not a quote.
Market price
Curated market value — tagged by type: MSRP for current production; Used ~50k mi for discontinued cars (clean driver condition, ~50,000 miles); Collector mkt for discontinued supercars/hypercars and pre-1980 classics (auction/collector market midpoint). Each entry carries an as of date reflecting when the price was last verified.
