About Benchrace

Accurate, sourced, enthusiast-first car specs for people who actually care about the numbers.

What we do

Benchrace is a curated car comparison tool built for enthusiasts. We collect real-world specs — horsepower, 0-60, quarter-mile, weight, top speed, cost to keep, and more — and present them side by side so you can compare cars honestly.

Unlike aggregator sites that pull anything they can find, we verify specs against primary sources and flag uncertain data clearly. Our goal is to be the most trustworthy spec sheet on the internet.

Where the data comes from

Every spec is researched from reputable sources. We do not guess, estimate, or crowdsource performance figures unless explicitly marked.

How we verify

Variants that have been hand-checked against primary sources carry an Audited badge. The audit includes the source list and the month it was verified. If a spec changes or we find a better source, we update the entry and re-audit.

Cost-to-Keep figures are hand-researched from a consumables-first perspective: tires, brake pads, oil changes, major services, and known failure items weighted by failure probability. We do not pull these from aggregate repair-cost sites.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. If you spot a bad spec, a missing variant, or a car we should add, email us. Please include the car name, the field you think is wrong, and a source if you have one. We review every correction and update the catalog accordingly.
